R134a is an extremely common refrigerant, widely used in refrigeration and air conditioning applications, including medium and high temperature refrigeration (domestic and commercial), residential and light air conditioners, automotive air conditioners and industrial applications (such as centrifugal chillers). It is also a common ingredient in many HFC refrigerant mixtures and is used in certain propellant applications.
